Breathing Test 1:30 pm

They performed a breathing test called the "Spontaneous Breating Trial" Its a mode of ventalation that allows Travyn to breath on his own so they can extubate (Remove breathing tube). The first test they did was this morning at 9:00 am and Travyn didn't last long without the ventaltor. They had to turn the ventalator back on immediately. The second test they did was at 12:30. He did OK but they said he could of done alot better. They will perform these test through out the day about 3-4 times to make sure he can breath on his own and so he doesn't forget to breath when he is sleeping. They want to wait alittle longer until they take the tube out. So they will be doing another test in a couple hours. They dont feel confident enough to extubate the tube. WHEN MY LITTLE ANGEL IS READY TO BREATH ON HIS OWN THEY WILL REMOVE IT. TAKE YOUR TIME BABY!!! I WILL BE WAITING BY YOUR SIDE.
Its amazing what Primary Childrens Hospital can do for these sick babies. They make sure everything is going the way it should before they even think about taking the next step. I am so grateful my little boy is here in there hands and in the hands of our Heavenly Father.
